Jordan Kivelstadt
Winemaker
Jordan grew up in San Francisco in a family that loved wine and this love captivated him at a young age. After studying engineering in college and working in marketing consulting, he decided to turn his passion for wine into his profession. Initiating himself with a harvest at Copain Custom Crush in Sonoma, Jordan proceeded to work with Carlisle, DuMol, Copain and a host of Sonoma’s top wineries. He soon found his way to Australia where he worked with Vasse Felix, one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries Australia’s Margaret River appellation. After working at Vasse Felix, Jordan returned to the United States and became the production manager for The Donum Estate and Robert Stemmler Wines, overseeing the winemaking process. Having a consummate need to learn as many different wine-making processes as possible, Jordan took a winemaking position with O.Fournier, one of Argentina’s top producers. To diversify his knowledge and experience, he is a consulting wine buyer for California Wine Merchant in San Francisco, a member of a tasting panel for Wine & Spirits Magazine, a member of the advisory board of Wine 2.0 and a critic for BoutiqueWineCellars.com.
